2019 Statistics and Favourite Books #3|July – September

I can’t believe we are in the final quarter of the year. How has this happened? The third quarter was my less successful quarter so far this year in terms of reading but I’m fine with that. I still read 37 books in these 3 months over a range of genres and ratings so let’s see the stats break down for this quarter.

This quarter definitely featured a wide range of ratings frome me. I had more books this quarter that I hated than previous quarters but I didn’t hate everything I read. I want to read more 5 star books but it’s hard to predict them.

Age Range:

This doesn’t surprise me but also upsets me because why did I read so little UKYA books this quarter? I’m disappointed in myself for how little I read and I need to fix this ASAP.

This chart is so different to previous months because I read so many graphic novels this quarter. This was obviously helped by the fact that I read all 12 issues of Fence but still! I’m impressed with the wide range of genres I read.

Well my one re-read a month definitely went out of the window this quarter. I definitely need to get back into re-reading more books.

This is just so sad to look at. WHY AM I SO BAD AT READING BOOKS ON MY TBR? I need to fix up. Might dedicate Christmas time to getting my physical TBR down.

I’m quite happy with this mix. 3 audiobooks makes me happy considering I completely stopped listening to them for months on end but only recently got back into them.

I don’t know why I even bother doing this chart because it will probably always look like this.

Top 5 Books:

5.Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell

This was so cute and I’ve already reached to re-read it a number of times so obviously I had to include it in my top 5 (Wayward Son is not on this list because as much as I loved it, it’s not ultimate favourites level).

4.Birthday by Meredith Russo

This is a book that I wasn’t expecting to love as much as I did but it really stuck with me. It just felt so raw and emotional and I couldn’t put it down.

3.Heartstopper Volume 2 by Alice Oseman

I love this series. It’s definitely my favourite Graphic Novel series of all time and I cannot wait for the other volumes, because I just love these characters so much.

2.Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett

I was also not expecting to love this book as much as I did but it might be one of my new favourite romances ever. It felt unique but I also adored the love story and I think I might add this to my pile of romance books to re-read when I’m not in a great mood/I’m in a slump.

1.American Royals by Katharine McGee

This quarter was the quarter of surprise favourites because I did not think I would love this book as much as I did. I was ADDICTED to this from start to finish. I loved everything about it. From the characters, to the world, to the writing. I cannot wait for the sequels to come up.

That was my third quarterly wrap up of 2019. Only one more left to go and then we are in 2020. That’s so crazy to think about and the thought of it all scares me but at least there’s still 3 months left before then.
