I am not the sort of person who changes her reads based on the season. I’m a big mood reader but it’s always dependent on my personal mood, not the weather. However, I do have some favourite cozy reads that I’m going to recommend to you today.
Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
I mean this is just a given, right? It’s the ultimate comfort series.
The Infernal Devices or The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare
I love to re-read the Shadowhunter books around this time. Particularly the Infernal Devices always make me feel incredibly cozy.
My True Love Gave to Me by Stephanie Perkins
This is a very fun short story anthology full of cozy stories. My particular favourite is Midnights by Rainbow Rowell (any surprises there?) which is the perfect New Years story.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I don’t know why but I really do feel the urge to re-read this series this Christmas. It is another one of those ultimate comfort series because it’s so familiar.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
I’m down for any excuse to re-read this but it does have a few scenes with a focus on the snow and cold.
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
This is a very dark series that perfectly suits this time of year.
Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
A Christmas themed romance – what more could you ask for?
The Sin Eater’s Daughter by Melinda Salisbury
Another comfort series for me that I am dying to re-read.
Night School by C.J. Daugherty
I binge-read this entire series over one winter and it perfectly suited the time.
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
I am definitely going to be re-reading this book this Christmas because I’m dying to re-read it again.
What are some of your favourite cozy reads? Let me know down below.
Excellent list!
I always want to reread Harry Potter in winter haha. I think because it’s so comforting.
