Top Ten Platonic Relationships in Books

I love a good romance so most of my favourite relationships in books are romantic relationships. However, I do appreciate a good friendship so today, I’m sharing with you the best platonic relationships in books.

Will and Jem  – The Infernal Devices

This is THE relationship to top all other relationships. I could write essays about the love that Will and Jem have for each other. This is the best friendship ever and I’m obsessed with both of them, separate and together.

Blackthorn Family (+ Emma) – The Dark Artifices

Another Cassandra Clare relationship but this time it’s a whole family. I love the family dynamic in this series. I love the protectiveness that they feel towards each other.

Finnick and Katniss – The Hunger Games

This is a strange one because they aren’t exactly the best of friends but I love the mutual respect and love they grow for each other over time.

Cath and Reagan – Fangirl

I love how much Reagan supports Cath and helps her when she needs it most.

Harry, Ron and Hermione – Harry Potter

I mean it’s the Golden Trio, need I say more?

Alex and Connor – Land of Stories

This is an incredibly underrated series that I love. Alex and Connor’s sibling relationship is adorable and I love how much they support each other.

Song Covey Sisters – To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

#SisterGoals, am I right?

Angel and Jimmy – I Was Born For This

This is an odd relationship to describe but I love how much they help each other out when they most need it.

Mariam and Laila – A Thousand Splendid Suns

This was the real love story in this book. It’s heartbreaking yet amazing to see Mariam doing all she can to make sure Laila gets the life that Mariam was denied.

Simon and his Gang – Simon Vs The Homosapiens Agenda

Do I even need to explain why? Yes, they weren’t great to him after he was outed but I still love their little group.
