Hi, my name is Sofia and I am currently Hamilton trash. I stayed away from the trend of Hamilton for a while but when my sister offered for me to go see it with her, I went and fell madly in love. I have been listening to the soundtrack non stop for the last 2 months and I’ve booked to go see it twice more this year. So obviously I thought it would be the perfect time to do the Hamilton Book Tag that has been around in the book community for a while. It was created by Maureen Keavy over on Booktube so definitely go check out her original video. I also found the cool banners on Downright Dystopian!
I really struggled with this question. I don’t know if it’s just because I’m drawing a blank but I don’t read many sassy villains. The closest is probably Sebastian from the Mortal Instruments but he isn’t even that sassy to be honest.
This isn’t a romantic relationship but Will and Jem from The Infernal Devices. I love these guys so much and I just wanted everyone to live happily ever after.
This is essentially every YA main character but the first one who comes to mind now is Camellia from The Belles. She is determined to be the favourite and will do whatever in order to get there.
I marathon so many book series – it’s my favourite thing to do. I think the first one I fully marathoned from start to finish was Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead which I marathoned in 6 days (one book a day).
I have to pick The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare. This is my favourite series of all time and the best thing about it is definitely the fact that you get to see what’s happening with everyone and not just Tessa, the protagonist.
My pick is definitely Twylla from The Sin Eater’s Daughter by Melinda Salisbury. She isn’t your typical YA protagonist because she’s flawed. She is one of the most realistic YA protagonists I’ve ever read about.
SPOILERS FOR THE HUNGER GAMES. I have to go with the first book series death that really upset me and that was Finnick Odair. He was the first book character I fell in love with and his death upsets me to this day.
Out of my recent reads I would have to go with Warcross by Marie Lu. I did not expect the big plot twist near the end and I’m desperate for the sequel.
I’m not going to go with Hogwarts and instead go with the London Institute from the Infernal Devices. The Shadowhunter world is my favourite world to read about and particularly the London and LA institutes.
I have to go with Harry Potter. It’s such an iconic series that it is going to last for years and never really go away.
So that was the Hamilton book tag. I feel like most people have done this tag already so I’m not going to tag anyone but if you want to do it, go ahead!
