My reading has been all over the place recently but nonetheless, there are a number of books this year that I’m excited about. Today, I’m here with a list of some of my anticipated books of 2018. Obviously, this isn’t all of my 2018 anticipated releases but these are my most anticipated releases at the moment.
Love, Hate and Other Filters by Samira Ahmed
More Own Voices Muslim YA books is exactly what I’ve been asking for. This debut novel has already got good reviews and I’m excited to see what it is all about.
Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury
You obviously all know that Melinda Salisbury is one of my favourite authors so obviously her new release is going to be on my anticipated list. I’m really interested to see her work outside of the Sin Eater’s Daughter world and I’m sure it will break my heart again and again.
Songs About A Boy by Chris Russell
This trilogy is probably my ultimate guilty pleasure trilogy. I love this series and I can’t wait to see how it ends, especially after the cliffhanger ending of the sequel.
Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare
Just like Melinda Salisbury, Cassandra Clare is an expected addition to this list. Any of her books are highly anticipated by me and most of the YA community. I’m especially excited about Queen of Air and Darkness because The Dark Artifices is quickly becoming one of my favourite trilogies.
Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi
I didn’t think that there would be another Shatter Me book on my anticipated list but unexpected additions to a series that was previously finished seems to be a new trend in YA. I’m not the biggest fan of the Shatter Me series but I did love Ignite Me so I’m interested to see where it goes next.
Obsidio by Amie Kaufman, Megan Spooner
The Illuminae trilogy is another one of my favourite trilogies and I’ve been desperately waiting for the third and final book in this series. I can’t wait to see how the books come together and how it finally ends.
Listen To Your Heart by Kasie West
Kasie West is one of my auto-read authors. I’ve enjoyed all of her books because she writes good, addictive YA contemporary romance which is my favourite genre. I don’t even need to know what this book is about, I just know that I want it.
My So-Called Bollywood Life by Nisha Sharma
If you know anything at all about me then you would know that YA romance and Bollywood are my two favourite things so obviously this book is very highly anticipated from me (especially since I’ve heard that it may or may not feature mentions of Shah Rukh Khan).
So that’s my list of anticipated releases of 2018. As I said earlier, this obviously isn’t all of my anticipated releases but just a select few that I wanted to mention. What is your most anticipated release of 2018?
